Visit by Jennifer Dunne and Peter Stadler of the Santa Fe Institute

On April 1 - 3, 2013, the Laubichler lab was very pleased to welcome two guests from the Santa Fe Institute: computational ecologist Dr. Jennifer Dunne and theoretical biologist Dr. Peter Stadler. Dr. Dunne gave the School of Life Sciences seminar, titled "The roles of human foragers in North Pacific marine food webs." The visit was a great opportunity to discuss the challenges and future directions of computational approaches to research in the history and philosophy of science.

Visit to Indiana University and Lecture

On Tuesday, February 19, 2013, Manfred Laubichler and PhD candidates Julia Damerow and Erick Peirson met with digital HPS collaborators at Indiana University in Bloomington. The trip was an opportunity to further develop digital and computational research infrastructure. The ASU delegation also gave a presentation at the Catapult Center for Digital Humanities and Computational Analysis, titled: "A Computational Research System for the History of Science and its Connections to Bioinformatics."
